Travis Ray Mann, 93, of Boonville, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at the University of Missouri hospital in Columbia, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
He was born on February 29, 1932, in Dewitt, Missouri, to Ernest and Dorothy Mann. He attended Wakenda School and was called to service in September of 1952, proudly serving in the United States Army during the Korean War until August of 1954.
Following his military service, Travis worked on the Santa Fe railroad for several years in Carrollton, St. Joseph, Missouri and Chicago, Illinois. He returned to Carrollton, Missouri, where he operated a DX station before later moving to Boonville, Missouri. He went on to drive trucks for Interstate Truck Line, Orscheln Truck Line, and Yellow Freight. After many years of hard and dedicated work, Travis retired in 1992.
On January 8, 1953, Travis married the love of his life, Rose Lamb. Together they shared 73 years of marriage and in that time raised three daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Mann; three daughters: Vicki (Ron) Nolke of Carrollton, Debbie (Bill) Inskeep of Pilot Grove, and Anita (Fred) Street of Warsaw; six grandchildren: Lynette (Michael) Mulch of Carrollton, Billy (Jaclyn) Inskeep of Pilot Grove, Melissa (Bill) England of Warsaw, Andrew (Cayley) Inskeep of Pilot Grove, Jennifer (Chris) Powell of Avon Park, Florida; grandson-in-law Bradley Boyer of Columbia; twelve great-grandchildren: Kylar Mulch, Edyn Mulch, Aiden Boyer, Braxten Inskeep, Ayven Inskeep, Casen Inskeep, JT Powell, Alexis Powell, Noah Boyer, Peyton Boyer, Jackson Inskeep, and Joseph Inskeep.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Dorothy (Bowling) Mann; sister Juanita Meyers; brother-in-law, D.A. Meyers; granddaughter Amy (Inskeep) Boyer; step granddaughter Christina Rice; grandparents, nieces and nephews.
Travis Mann will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and the life he built through service, dedication, and love.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Howard-Millard Funeral Home in Boonville, Missouri with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial following the service will be at Carroll Memory Garden Cemetery with full military honors in Carrollton, Missouri.
