Howard-Millard Funeral Home in Boonville carries on a tradition of care and community service that began when Chris Howard purchased Davis Funeral Chapel from John and Pat Davis on April 21, 2017. After years of dedication to the funeral profession, Chris fulfilled his dream of owning his own funeral home and quickly set to work modernizing and updating the facility, renaming it Howard Funeral Home to reflect his family’s commitment to serving Boonville.

On August 1, 2024, the funeral home entered a new chapter when it was purchased by Reid Millard, Nick McKague, and Autum McKague, officially becoming Howard-Millard Funeral Home and joining the Millard Family network. Today, Chris Howard remains actively involved in the daily operations, ensuring families receive the same personal care and attention they’ve always trusted, now with the added support and resources of Millard Family Chapels. The result is a funeral home that honors its roots in the Boonville community while benefiting from the strength of a broader family of funeral professionals.
