George W. Hardesty, age 90, of Boonville, passed away on April 13, 2024, at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehab, lovingly surrounded by his family.
A service will be held privately for the family at a later date.
George was born November 10, 1933, in East Prairie, Missouri to William and Mary (Adkisson) Hardesty. He was married to Mary Thomason on November 11, 1977, and they were married 47 years at the time of his passing.
George worked at General Motors in St. Louis for 30 years. After retirement, he worked at various jobs including Bratcher’s Market in Montgomery City, Missouri. George enjoyed his farm in Wellsville, Missouri before moving to Boonville in 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Hardesty.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Thomason Hardesty of the home; 4 sons: Randy, Jimmy, Derek Hardesty; Dwain Klingert of Laguna Beach, California; and the love of his life, his daughter Christie Hunter of Boonville; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You!” to the Lakeview Nursing Home staff, especially Ryan Sanders, who held a special bond with our dad.
